The Analyst Developer is located within the IT department and is responsible for the requirements analysis, design, development and implementation of new system functionality according to business requirements. The positon also has a support component, ensuring that the entire application stack is fully operational at all times and that system issues are resolved timeously to allow business end users to perform at the highest level of efficiency.

Software design and development
•Understand the business environment including
offered and regulatory environment.
•Gather and analyse new business requirements.
•Design new solutions within the existing solution
•Develop new system functionality.
•Test and deploy new system functionality.
•Understand the Milpark application stack architecture
•Work closely with the database administrator to design
and implement new database functionality.

•Assist with training of staff on new or existing system
•Support internal and external business users with
system related issues.
•Resolve issues accurately and timeously.
•Ensure issues relating to the availability of the
application stack are resolved immediately to minimise
•Be prepared to assist after hours to resolve time
sensitive issues, should they arise.

Process, communication and documentation
•Communicate effectively with team members, business
users and other stakeholders.
•Work within a team to prioritize and implement business
•Work effectively with external suppliers to implement
•Document new business requirements.
•Document solution design.
•Manage development to ensure deadlines are met.
•Ensure code is version controlled.
•Keep project plans and other progress tracking tools up
to date.

Educational & Experience Requirements
•IT Degree/Diploma – development focus
•Minimum 7 years’ experience in designing, developing
and implementing business solutions
•High competency levels relating to C# .NET and Java
•Ability to build and consume .NET and Java web services
•Solid understanding of standard web technologies
•Expertise in MSSQL and mySQL database technologies
•Familiarity with Windows and Linux platforms
